Meet Cait and her kids!
Hi there, I’m Cait. I have been working and living in Boston’s South End for over five years. I grew up in Sudbury, Massachusetts for my first twenty years, then I was off to Boston! I lived in the South End with my parents and then Fenway alone for my first year and a half of my Boston journey. I was working at Gaslight and growing my knowledge and love for cooking. After that, I moved out to San Francisco, California where I grew my culinary knowledge further. Cooking was fun but hanging out with my grandparents’ dogs on my days off was much more exciting. I decided to come back home to be with my closest friends and family and then it finally happened, I became a dog walker!
I was lucky enough to become a proud member of “Wanna Go Out?” I quickly learned what makes a great dog walker. Now I can apply all I have learned in the last three years of dog walking and pet sitting to my own business. Not only have I raised and trained two of my own dogs but I have learned how to administer a handful of at home medical treatments such as nightly IV fluids and the injection of insulin. Unfortunately I have experienced the loss of my first dog, Brody. He was diagnosed with severe epilepsy and no cocktail of medication could subdue it. I learned a lot from him and am proud to have been his mom even if it was less than a year. Now I have Maka and Nori, my dog and cat duo. You can see us walking around and popping into Polka dog.
Maka and Nori
They are the best of friends and truly are siblings. They love chomping on each others heads, sharing food, and cuddling during a nap. Both are great at accommodating our furry guests by looping them into the fun. Nori, the cat, is eager to introduce himself to dogs by walking right up to them and demanding to play. He has also gotten great at disengaging and finding places to run off to if things are getting too much for him. He even comes on some walks with us and is doing great on a leash!
As for Maka, she is a fiery little champion. She is not afraid to break up any tussle in the house and is known to swoop in to Nori’s rescue. Sometimes she even just gets jealous that another dog is playing with her kitty and takes his attention for herself. She can be a little stingy about sharing toys but never in an aggressive way, she is just holding onto the days of being an only child. We have a copious amount of toys so everyone can have something to chew on.
These kids love having friends over and can’t wait to meet your fur baby!
